Yes, Olly! That's a great quote.

There are so many weak movies based on musicians and some sort of reason to "get the old band together," but this one came before all of them. It's a great story with some excellent acting to boot.

I'm a big Johnny Depp fan and this is a very interesting role for him. Same goes for Leonardo DiCaprio. You're right, there's not much action, but I thought the movie was very compelling on an emotional level. Definitely enjoyed it.

Addiction is such an incredibly powerful theme for a film. This movie was amazing the way it presents dream-like sequences that these addictions create and the way the real world comes back to crush them all.

Truly an epic. I definitely agree, the music adds so much.

I never liked Ally McBeal when it was running, but in retrospect, I never really gave it a fair chance. I didn't want to care about the social and romantic details of the characters.

After reading your very well-written review, though, it definitely seems I was missing out! I definitely never watched it enough to see how it all fit together.

I actually delayed my viewing of Avatar for some time, but I'm definitely glad I got around to it.

I would definitely say the visuals and effects are the main selling point, but I wouldn't dismiss the plot as simple cliches, either. The social and imperialist commentary can be interpreted differently, but I definitely got something out of it.

And James Cameron's vision and the incredible amount of work he put into the idea surpasses just about every other film.

I'm quite fond of Top Chef, although I don't watch too much reality TV in general.

I think what makes it different in my eyes is the fact that the participants are already extremely good chefs put into some very stressful situations. Before I watched much, I figured it was full of novices trying to become a chef. I think this type of authenticity really sets it apart from some other reality shows.

I definitely have some fond memories of 3rd Rock from the Sun. The concept was so ridiculous but it definitely worked and so many of the episodes were packed with laughs. Sorry your neighbors weren't able to understand...

I thought John Lithgow did an amazing job in his role: his voice and mannerisms seemed to fit his "alien" character perfectly. The entire cast, though, was very solid.

Today, when anyone talks about watching "30 Rock" my brain actually first thinks back to "3rd Rock!"

I love this movie. I hadn't watched many animated movies for a long time until watching this, but it made my want to watch my old favourites again.

Pixar's animation in this is seriously awesome, honestly most of it blew me away.

WALL-E himself is also surprisingly cute.

I'd love there to be a sequel, hopefully there will be even though I haven't heard anything about one =(

I really like this movie. I'm not usually a fan of Tom Cruise but I did in this.

I only recently found out it was based on a novel, so I will have to try and read that soon :D
